If you happen to be in the New York City area this weekend, cross Brooklyn Bridge and stop by at 220 36th Street in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood. Its Brooklyn Fashion Week{end}!  The Event open on Friday, September 30^th until Sunday October 2^nd and support African youths who are educating their peers on HIV awareness and making a difference.Watch out for the MTV Staying Alive Foundation (SAF) opening party tonight!

Streetstyle at Madrid Fashion Week

Madrid`s fashion scene is not just evident on the catwalk, the outside streets are turned into a catwalk as well. I spotted David, 27 years old design student. Nice smile and cute style!

Spotlight on for designer duo Alvarno

Last Thursday 15/09 at Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week, we felt in Love with the spanish/french label Alvarno. The presentation took place Off-Cibeles in 'Museo Del Traje' (Museum of costume). We were very excited to take a look at the new collection for spring/summer 2012. The label Alvarno represents two designers, Arnaud Maillard who worked 15 years with Karl Lagerfeld and Alvaro Castejón who worked with Oscar de la Renta and for Alexander Mc Queen in London, New York and Paris.

The new collection by Alvarno shows us a woman who is self-confident and has a sexy touch. They use summer tweeds, light silks and XXL complements in form of belt, bracelet or necklace. The colors black, white and nude form a contrast in each look. The detail which catched our eyes were the low-cut backs in some pieces. We would really like to know your opinion about this collection!

Streetstyle from London

First Street Style picture from London! We met these two girls in a rock punk combination on Oxford Street. Both joined in their style a short jeans and combined it with a striped t-shirt or a flower printed blouse. Do you like their style?!  



Congrats!!! London world´s top fashion capital of 2011

London is vivid, fresh, wild, innovative, inspiring... London is just awesome, London is incomparable!!!
There are not enough words to describe this northern Europe capital as it deserves. Neither I can`t explain why I love this city. Weather is bad, its almost rainy and cold but there is the people, the unique sub-culture, the street style, the markets and at least Pippa and Kate as new global "fashion icons". If you have ever been in London, you know what I am talking about! One afternoon, a few weeks ago, I asked some stranger at Oxford Street: " Why London?" and he answered: " London is an eye candy for the style hungry!" He`s so right! Couldn´t have said it better! No surprise that London is the world`s top fashion capital 2011. Our congratulations!!!

'Cromia' by Fashion Designer Jose Matteos kicks of Madrid Fashion Week

It was the first day of Cibeles Fashion Week and everybody arrived with a lot of expectations about the collection and the show. Jose Matteos is one of the amazing spanish designers who knows to dress man and woman as well. The Spring/Summer collection 2012 shows us the two sides of the balance, the negative and the positive, reflected by the colors black and white. Minidresses, a lots of volumes, geometric designs and materials like silk, organza, tulle and organic cotton makes 'Cromia' such fantastic! Matteos already presented his collections at showrooms 'Fashion from Galicia' in New York, London, Tokio and Milan.
